  • Avoid being excessively hungry or fatigue, or using drugs or alcohol.
  • During treatment please do not move your body since it may cause the muscle to tighten around the needles. Please let your practitioner know if you need to move so that the needles can be adjusted.

How to Take Herbs

Chinese herbs are generally taken with warm water in between meals (for example, 1 hour before or after a meal) since it's easier for the herbs to be absorbed when the stomach is empty or half-full. In general, tonic herbs should be stopped while you are having an acute condition such as common cold, flu, skin rash, etc., and for women, during their menstruation. Please consult with your practitioner if you are not sure whether you should continue or stop your herbal medicine.
